Embase APIs expose curated abstracts, indices and other metadata indexed by Embase, Elsevier's biomedical abstract and indexing database, from peer-reviewed biomedical literature, in-press publications and conferences. Records in Embase are deeply indexed with emphasis on drugs, diseases and medical devices using the Elsevier's life science thesaurus Emtree.
Full Embase APIs access is granted on a case-by-case basis, regardless of subscription to embase.com. Please contact an Elsevier Embase representative if you are interested in using Embase APIs.
Please visit Elsevier Developer Portal to get started.
You can obtain an API Key on Elsevier Developer Portal. If you do not already have an Elsevier user ID, you will have to register prior to obtaining an API Key.
